Algoma District School Board to close some schools ahead of teacher's strike

SAULT STE. MARIE -- The Algoma District School Board will be the latest northern board impacted by ongoing job action by teacher unions.
This week all elementary schools, all Adult Literacy and Basic Skills programs with the Algoma District School Board are being closed on Thursday Jan. 30th for the expected teacher strike.
Students will also not be at school on Friday as it’s a scheduled PD day. The school board says classes will resume the following Monday.
