SUDBURY -- Public Health Sudbury & Districts reported four new COVID-19 cases in Greater Sudbury Thursday evening.

This brings the number of active cases in the city to eight, all within a week and a half, with six since Tuesday.

Three of the new, positive cases are recorded as "contacts of a travel-related case," the fourth is marked by public health officials as "travel-related." All four individuals are currently self-isolating.

This brings the total case-count in the region of Sudbury and districts, since the start of the pandemic, to 118.

Through contact tracing, public health says it will notify all close contacts directly.
