Missing ATV rider found dead west of Timmins

Ontario Provincial Police said Tuesday that a northern Ontario man missing since Friday has been found dead west of Timmins. 

He was last seen about 1 p.m. Friday at Old Mill Campground on Highway 101, approximately 50 kilometers west of Timmins.

The search was assisted by OPP canine units, aviation services and the emergency response team – Porcupine search and rescue vehicles were also seen in the area.

Throughout the weekend, a large police presence could be seen in the area of Highway 101 near the camp.

Police would not confirm the cause of death, but said no foul play is suspected.
