A young woman from Chapleau is representing Canada in the upcoming Miss Teenager Universe competition.
Emma Morrison is the first Indigenous woman to win Miss Teenage Canada and was crowned last summer in Toronto among 60 other young ladies from across the country.
The upcoming world final pageant is being held in Mexico City on Saturday, July 28th.
She is competing against representatives from countries around the world.
Leading up to the pageant, there is an online competition where the contestant with the most votes on social media, gets automatically fast tracked to the top 16 semi-finals.
So far, Morrison has garnered 469 comments on her entry. Her nearest competition is Miss Teenager South Africa with 350 comments.
