Mellow, mature feline looking to be someone's lap cat

Share

In this week's Take Me Home Tuesday, Fluffy -- a domestic longhair cat that loves cuddling -- is on the hunt for a new home.

She is around six years old and loves soft, cozy things, relaxing and looking out windows.

Fluffy has been at the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre on Lasalle Boulevard on the College Boreal campus for about a month, Alex Binns told CTV News.

"Fluffy came from a loving home, but her owners did end up having severe allergies untreatable with medication, so they brought her to us, which is the perfect place for her to find a new home," Binns said.

She has a mellow demeanour, experience with children, and would be great for someone looking for a lap cat.

"She's a great cat. Honestly, I think she'll fit into pretty much any setting. She's got a lovely personality," Alex Binns of SPCA Sudbury said.

However, Binns said Fluffy would do really well in a quieter household or with some elderly folks.

Due to her long fur, she requires lots of grooming to keep it from getting matted, luckily though she loves being brushed.

Keeping her groomed will also help with fur balls, which can also be treated with remedies available through a veterinarian or pet supply store.

The cat featured on last week's Take Me Home Tuesday is still listed on the Sudbury SPCA's website as available.
