SUDBURY -- Ontario Provincial Police on Manitoulin Island caught a furry fugitive Thursday night, and couldn't resist posting some cute photos of the hamster on the lam.

"Manitoulin OPP officers were on foot patrol (in) Little Current when they saw this furry little critter," police tweeted.

They posted a photo of the officer who nabbed the furry critter, along with the hamster at the wheel, then enjoying a light snack.

"He passed the driving test and enjoys running radar, but we think he would prefer to be cuddled and enjoy snacks," the tweet said."
