Man passes away after suffering a stroke a the wheel

Sudbury police have released few details on Tuesday's crash in the city's Valley East neighbourhood, but CTV News has learned new information from family members related to the driver.
Christy Larocque has confirmed it was her father, Conrad Larocque, that was the man involved in the single-vehicle crash on August 13 on Valleyview Road in Val Caron.
She says he suffered a major stroke at the wheel.
A long-time resident of Blezard Valley, Conrad was very active in his community and has been the president of Carrefour Senator Rhéal Belisle Cultural Centre since 1981. He also is known for organizing the annual Valley East jug curling tournament, that celebrated its 36th anniversary this year.
Larocque was a miner/shotcreter for over 30 years at INCO and eventually opened C&L Shotcrete Consulting.
The family says Conrad succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning.
A celebration of life is being organized by the family on Wednesay, August 21 from 4 -8 p.m. at the Carrefour hall.
Sudbury police reopened Valleyview Road in the Greater Sudbury community of Val Caron following the serious crash that sent a man in his 70s to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say it happened around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13 and the road was reopened around 9 p.m.
They are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or spotted the vehicle prior to the crash to come forward.
A collision on Valleyview Road in Val Caron sent a 72-year-old man to hospital with life threatening injuries.
His vehicle lost control and hit a retaining wall, before coming to rest in the ditch.
The vehicle is described as a black Town and Country van.
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Valleyview Road will be closed for a couple hours while police investigate.
Police advised parents attending the daycare to pick up children at Fournier and Valleyview road.
