A 49-year-old man has been arrested after two days of heavy police presence on Nipissing First Nation.
Ontario Provincial Police say a 49-year-old local man has been arrested and charged with sexual assault following a joint investigation with Anishinabek Police Service in the Little Lakes Road area that began July 10.
Several OPP teams assisted with the execution of a search warrant on Monday at around 1 pm.
The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
