SUDBURY -- Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is looking for a man who was mistakenly released from custody on Monday morning.

Authorities say 30-year-old James Bolan was at the Sault Ste. Marie Courthouse Jan. 27 around 11:30 a.m. when the mistake happened.

Bolan is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, and unlawfully in a dwelling in connection to an incident that happened in May 2019. These charges have not yet been proven in court.

Police are urging James Bolan to turn himself in.
