There were some scary moments today at a Catholic high school in Timmins on Tuesday .

O'Gorman High was put into lockdown mode after police say a threat was made on social media.

The Timmins Police Service says it worked in cooperation with school officials to ensure the safety of the students and faculty.

Police searched the school and two young people were located and arrested.  

The other students were permitted to leave at the end of the school day.

Police say there are no further safety concerns.

Also on Tuesday, Ontario Provincial Police responded to a potential threat in the Town of Hearst. 

A hold and secure was put on all of the schools in the area for a couple of hours while a situation outside of school unfolding.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
