SUDBURY -- L'Arche Sudbury has moved to the second round of what's being described as the first lip sync battle by people with disabilities.

Their YouTube video of 'Cupid Shuffle' garnered enough likes and donations to beat their competition from L'Arche London.

"Congratulations, you did it!" read the message from L'Arche Canada, who is organizing the Battle of the Fans lip sync battle. "You made into the Sweet Sixteen! We want you to know that we absolutely loved your lip sync performance, and we’re in awe of your contribution! In total, the round 1, lip syncs received over 6,000 likes and inspired 200 donations in just two days.

"That’s a lot of joy and generosity that you helped inspire. And by the way, we’ve never seen that amount of engagement on any digital L’Arche initiative ever -- nothing comes close."

"L'Arche Sudbury will now compete against L'Arche Toronto in Round 2," said Darrel Marsh, spokesperson for L'Arche Sudbury. "Stay tuned!! Sudbury rocks!"
