Kitchen fire breaks out at North Bay assisted living complex
There were some tense moments Wednesday afternoon after a kitchen fire broke out on the sixth floor of an assisted living facility in North Bay.
The emergency call came in shortly after 2 p.m. from the Oakwood Avenue complex for vulnerable people.

Everyone was able to evacuate safely and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly.
Crews told CTV News heavy smoke on the sixth floor is preventing some residents from getting back into their units right away.
