Provincial police say they netted thousands of dollars worth of street drugs after they conducted a search warrant on Kirkland Street in Kirkland Lake.

It happened on Monday, May 13, 2019, but they did not arrest and charge the 56-year-old accused man from Kirkland Lake until May 21.

They say multiple units of the Ontario provincial police made the bust and confiscated a quantity of drugs suspected to be heroin (purple h), cocaine, methamphetamine, opioids, illicit cannabis, and Canadian currency.

Police say the estimated street value of the seizure is $6,300.

When the man was arrested, he was found with additional drugs suspected to be purple heroin, which is heroin mixed with fentanyl or carfentanil, and cocaine.

He now faces numerous charges for drug possession and trafficking.

The accused was remanded into custody pending bail and is scheduled to appear in court in Temiskaming Shores by video on May 24.
