"The caller witnessed a person brandish a knife towards the victim, and then assault the victim," OPP said.

"Before departing on foot, the accused person had taken belongings of the victim."

An investigation led police to charge a local man with assault, robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
