SUDBURY -- After a five-month investigation, Ontario Provincial Police in Kirkland Lake have charged a local business with selling alcohol illegally.

Acting on multiple complaints received between March and August, police began an investigation with the help of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

The business is now charged with two counts of unlawfully selling liquor, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.

The business is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 1 in Kirkland Lake.
