SUDBURY -- Three people are facing drug trafficking charges after Greater Sudbury Police Service seized over half a kilo of cocaine.

Sudbury police say they started multiple investigations in November, along with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police, and on Wednesday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Regent Street that led to the arrests.

Authorities say 524 grams of cocaine were seized, valued at approximately $52,451, as well as $350 in cash.

As a result, three people in their 30s, a woman from Sudbury and two people from Toronto, are facing drug trafficking charges.

The Sudbury woman was released and is scheduled to appear in court on April 8, while the two accused from Toronto were held in custody awaiting bail hearings Thursday.

A fourth person is wanted in connection to the investigation and police say they have issued an arrest warrant for a 45-year-old man on two counts of trafficking a scheduled substance.
