Infant death in Wawa being investigated by police
An investigation is underway after an infant with no vital signs was brought to a northern Ontario hospital, Ontario Provincial Police say.
Officers were called to the hospital in Wawa shortly before 7 p.m. Dec. 2, where the baby had been brought in by family members, OPP said in a news release Thursday night.

"The results of the autopsy are unknown," OPP Const. Bev Gauthier told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in an email Friday.
"Because the investigation is in its early stages, no further details can be released at this time. Further information will be provided when it becomes available," OPP said.
