The OPP say human remains were found on Sunday in a wooded area of the city of Elliot Lake.
The OPP canine unit, as well as a drone and the *emergency response team* have all been involved, as well as the OPP criminal investigation branch.
The area is expected to be cordoned off for the next few days while police and the coroner's office complete a detailed analysis of the area
