The closest living relative of Sudbury murder victim Renee Sweeney is asking people to honour the young woman's memory with a small gesture.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Kim Sweeney asked her followers to show their love for her sister by using Renee’s face as their temporary profile picture.

Kim has not spoken publicly since police announced on Tuesday that Robert Steven Wright had been arrested and charged with the killing.

Sudbury Police Chief Paul Pedersen spoke on Kim's behalf on Tuesday, saying she wanted to thank the service and the community for their years of support and is asking for privacy.
