Highway 6 reopens after serious collision on Manitoulin Island

SUDBURY -- Two people were sent to hospital after a serious single motor vehicle collision in the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin Island.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), it happened on Sun. Oct. 25, shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Highway 6 near Townline Road.
One person was said to be facing serious injuries while the second is facing life-threatening injuries.
The highway was closed for about five hours while police conducted their initial investigation.
Officers are continuing to investigate with the help of the North East Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.
