Highway 144 fully reopened after two vehicle crash
Highway 144 is fully reopened Sunday morning after a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in the Greater Sudbury community of Dowling, police say.
The collision happened before 6 p.m. between Gordon Lake Road and New Cobden Road, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a tweet.
"Road closed following collision. Emergency services attending," OPP said.
Greater Sudbury Fire Services along with Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services attended the scene.
In a phone interview with CTV News Northern Ontario anchor Brendan Connor Saturday evening, police officials confirmed two vehicles were involved in the crash.
A detour was available via New Cobden, Simmons and Gordon Lake Roads.
The highway fully reopened just after 2:30 a.m., OPP said in a subsequent tweet.
No details on the cause of the collision, if any charges are pending or the extent of any injuries have been released by police.
