North Bay's Aria Loewen is only 15-years-old and she is headed to the junior nationals for freestyle skiing.

Loewen told CTV News she's on the hill four times a week, on top of dry land training three days a week.

She said she loves the sport and is working everyday to perfect each run.

"All you hear is '3,2,1, go' and then you're off for the first section," said Loewen.

"Back lay, is like a back tuck but you're perfectly straight in the air, locked out. Then you land, get into the bumps, straight away. Make it as fast as you can and as clean as you can down the middle section and then you're in a like position grabbing the tips of your skis, you land that and then you go through the short section, then you're done that run."

Loewen said she is hoping to place well at the junior nationals before training for the senior nationals adding that her dream goal is to make the Olympics one day.
