Here's where to find the best houses decorated for Halloween in Sault Ste. Marie
Just two days ahead of Halloween, the City of Sault Ste. Marie has awarded several local homes and one business for having the best decorations for the season.
"The Halloween Spirit Awards program promotes and encourages community involvement and recognizes the efforts of residents who decorate their homes and businesses in the spirit of Hallowe-en," the city said in a news release Tuesday.
This year, there were 43 nominees for best spooky season display.
In first place is 35 East Balfour St. in Ward 5 with second place at 477 Charles St. in Ward 4.

Tied for third place are 169 Albert St. West in Ward 2 and 59 Alagash Dr. in Ward 5.

The Hammerhead Tattoo Parlour at 141 Albert St. West took home the business winner award.
