SUDBURY -- Health Sciences North (HSN) will be increasing its testing capacity in a new partnership with the Ontario College of Family Physicians.

In a news release late Saturday morning, HSN confirmed it has secured an additional testing site at the NEOMO Medical office located at 885 Prete Street.  Testing will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week.

Patients will be screened by a nurse over the phone and referred to the site as required.  All assessment options are by appointment only.  For safety reasons, walk-in appointments are strictly prohibited.

Patients with any of the following symptoms must call HSN’s COVID-19 Assessment Center at 705-671-7373:

  •          Fever or chills
  •          Sore throat
  •          New onset or worsening fatigue
  •          Loss of taste or smell
  •          New onset or worsening cough
  •          Headache
  •          Loss of appetite
  •          Runny nose
  •          Muscle aches
  •          Nausea or diarrhea
  •          Shortness of breath

If you are having difficulty breathing or experiencing other severe symptoms, call 911 immediately. Advise them of your symptoms and travel history.
