SUDBURY -- Neo-Nazi stickers have been posted at Cambrian College in Greater Sudbury and, more recently, along the Lasalle Boulevard corridor.

While the offensive material has been removed, police have launched a criminal investigation.

"The stickers are of a Neo-Nazi origin or white supremacy," said Sudbury Police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn. "They are red, white and black in colour. We are not sharing a picture or information related to the stickers as we don't want to help spread the offensive and vulgar content."

Cambrian College confirms the stickers were discovered posted on campus during reading week in late October.

'Disgusting, stupid, vile'

"There were a number of stickers that were put up on Cambrian property -- Neo-Nazi stickers, disgusting, stupid, vile," said college spokesperson Dan Lessard. "When we were contacted, our security went out and did a sweep of the campus and they removed all the stickers and then we called police."

Police are asking people to report any sightings of similar material.

"It's really important that if you see one of these stickers or you took one of these stickers down, to report it to police so that we know there are more incidents out there and where they have happened," said Dunn.

At Cambrian, Lessard said there have been no further incidents since the stickers were found late last month, but security is keeping a close eye.

"They have no place on our campus, they have no place anywhere, and we do it support that in any way shape or form and we are not going to tolerate it," he said.

Police said more stickers were discovered along the Lasalle Boulevard corridor last week and were quickly removed.
