Greater Sudbury municipality prepares for return of winter carnival

SUDBURY -- For the first time in almost 30 years, Capreol is hosting a winter carnival this weekend.

The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre is preparing to play a big role in the family fun activities. 

"We were approached by Justin Seguin of the Fire House to really bring back that idea of a winter carnival," said Derek Young, operations manager at NORMHC. "Just after Christmas we were able to pull together about 15 or so business leaders in the community of which the railroad museum is one of those partners."

The Capreol Winter Carnival runs from Feb. 28 to March 1.
