Greater Sudbury LifeLabs location to reopen in two weeks
The Azilda LifeLabs location in Greater Sudbury, which has been closed since Jan. 10 after a vehicle went through the front of the businesses, should reopen within the next two weeks, the local MPP says.
“We were just advised by Lifelabs that they expect to have the Azilda location re-open in 2 weeks,” Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas said in a Facebook post Thursday.
Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas previous told CTV News she was unsure why LifeLabs decided to close rather than relocate during the repairs and many area residents expressed fear the closure could become permanent.

Patients in Azlida and the surrounding communities of Cartier, Onaping, Dowling, Levack and Chelmsford have had to access the laboratory services at other locations within the city; which added at least 20-minutes to their commutes.
“We thank the community for their patience and understanding as we navigate this unexpected incident. We will keep the community updated on our progress,” said LifeLabs in a statement to CTV News last month.
