SUDBURY -- A lottery add-on has won a Greater Sudbury resident $100,000.

Roy Frood is a 41-year-old hydro worker who matched six of the seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the July 17 Lotto Max draw.

Frood, a married man with children, said he is a regular lottery player in an Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation news release.

"I was very surprised and excited when I found out I won! My wife was just as surprised when I shared the news with her," said Frood.

He said he plans to use his winnings for his children's future.

"I really appreciate this win – I feel very fortunate to have won this amount," said Frood.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Mobil gas station on Lasalle Boulevard in Sudbury.

"Encore offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an Encore draw every day," said OLG.
