Fuel transport stopped on Hwy. 11 for speeding: OPP
The driver of a commercial motor vehicle and his employer are facing charges after police stopped the vehicle for speeding on Highway 11.
“Temagami OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) just stopped this CMV, loaded with diesel fuel, for speeding on Highway 11,” police said in a social media post Friday morning.
“Both the 34-year-old driver from Brampton and the operator were charged.”
In an email to CTV News, OPP Const. Sioban Christo said the incident took place shortly after 7 a.m. on July 26.
“The CMV was travelling 120 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone,” he said.

As a result of the incident and subsequent investigation, the driver from Brampton, Ont., was charged with speeding and operating a CMV not equipped with working speed-limiting system – whereas the transport truck’s operator was charged with permitting operation of a CMV not equipped with working speed-limiting system.
None of the allegations has been proven in court.
“Slow down,” said police.
