Fire on Joseph Street keeps North Bay fire crews busy
North Bay fire crews remain on scene of a Monday night blaze in the city’s Ferris community.
Crews were called to a home on Joseph Street during the early evening hours to find the garage fully involved.
It didn’t take long for flames to extend to both the house and the attic.
Fire Chief Jason Whiteley told CTV News that crews did a primary and secondary search of the house and believe no one was home at the time.
Portions of the attic were still burning in around the 9 p.m. hour.
No word yet from officials on what could have started the blaze but damage is believed to be extensive.
