The Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a call Monday night around 11 pm in the 500 block of Boundary Road.
Fire officials say the fire was not serious, but there was minor fire damage to the exterior and attic space of the residence.
The fire started as a result of a break in a gas line fitting on the exterior wall of the residence.
No one was hurt in the fire.
