Highway 11 between Temagami and Marten River was closed for several hours overnight Friday following a single vehicle collision and fire.

The Ontario Provincial Police announced the road closure in a tweet.

At about 5:30 p.m., OPP officers along with the Temagami and Martin River fire departments and North Bay Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash.

The incident closed sections of Highway 64 and Highway 11 until early Saturday morning.

The investigation revealed a commercial motor vehicle left the road and collided with a rock cut.

OPP said EMS transported the lone occupant of the vehicle to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

No further details on the cause of the crash at this time.

The roadway reopened shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday according to police.

"The investigation is on-going. Further information will be released as it becomes available," said police in a news release Saturday.

Police are asking anyone with information related to the collision to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
