CTV Northern Ontario’s sister station KICX 91.7 is wrapping up a campaign in support of Sudbury’s Elgin Street Mission called Feed the Need.

Throughout the month of April the radio station has been collecting non-perishable food items for the Mission that provides two meals a day for people in need.

The Elgin Street Mission shares space in the Samaritan Centre in downtown Sudbury and is a Christian-based non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of the community, as it doesn’t receive regular funding from the city or the government.  The need is ongoing throughout the year.

Biggest needs for the Elgin Street Mission:

  • Coffee & Coffeemate
  • Pasta
  • Cheez Whiz
  • Jam
  • Mayo
  • Salad dressing
  • Sugar
  • Canned meats (chicken, turkey, ham)
  • Canned diced tomatoes & kidney beans
