Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a single snowmobile crash that claimed the life of a Thessalon man on Sunday.
Police say the crash happened February 17 just before 12:30 pm on the Thessalon River under the John A. Fullerton Bridge, between Huron and Francis Street.
An OPP investigation has revealed 20-year-old Nicolas Barber was killed when he lost control of his snowmobile and crashed into the bridge.
Police say the deceased was riding alone and a witness was the one who discovered the scene.
An autopsy will be performed in Sault Ste. Marie in next few days.
The investigation is ongoing.
