The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a single vehicle rollover and crash that happened east of Sault Ste. Marie that claimed the life of a local woman.
Police say it happened on Monday shortly after 2:30 pm on Hilton Road in the Town of Hilton Beach, on St. Joseph Island.
Investigation has determined the car was travelling eastbound on Hilton Road when it hit the shoulder, swerved back onto the road, over corrected, served again, entered a ditch, rolled twice on impact, and landed upright.
The victim is identified as 58-year-old Karol Hopper, from Hilton Beach.
