Fatal collision south of North Bay

OPP with the Almaguin Highlands detachment are investigating a fatal collision Wednesday afternoon, in Laurier Township. Police say it happened at approximately 2:45 p.m. and that it was a single vehicle crash that occured on Forestry Road. 

According to a news release, the 68-year-old driver, Ronald Loxton of Balantyne Township was south on Forestry Road when he lost control of a utility task vehicle (UTV) and drove in to the west ditch. The vehicle rolled and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A post mortem is scheduled and police continue their investigation.
