Pauline Loyer, a familiar face behind Village International on Durham street for the past twenty-five years, has passed away at 63.
Loyer died Saturday, June 15, according to the owner of the building that houses Village International, Claire-Lucie Brunet.
She says Loyer was reported to be in poor health, and last made an appearance at the store on June 1 before entering hospital. Cause of death is unknown..
Village International has been a Sudbury institution for the past 25 years that includes handmade goods, which are imported from developing countries. Sales from the products are directed to women and children in those countries.
The store is scheduled to close June 29 as previously reported by CTV News.
No funeral service is planned for Loyer, but a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date
