SUDBURY -- A group in Sudbury is exploring a new way of living in what’s called co-housing.

The concept was first developed in Denmark in the 70s.

Now the idea of a community within a community has expanded to North America.

"You have your own private unit, your fully functional home plus extensive common shared spaces," said Kristopher Stevens, executive director of Cohousing Options Canada. "The idea is to maximize your quality of life."

Sweetfern Cohousing is hosting information sessions Friday night and all day Saturday at Horizon Partners, on the third floor of 40 Larch St.
