SUDBURY -- A 75-year-old man in Elliot Lake is under arrest after police in the northern community responded to numerous harassment complaints.

The man was arrest Nov. 6 by the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police.

"The complainant reported multiple harassment related occurrences by a known person in a neighbourhood in Elliot Lake," police said in a news release Monday. "After police investigation, it was learned the accused was also currently on a peace bond with conditions stemming from prior charges."

He is now charged with criminal harassment and five counts of breach of recognizance.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Dec. 1.
