CTV News has learned an elderly man has died from injuries after being struck by a pickup truck

Timmins police say the victim was 70 years of age..
It happened Wednesday around 8:15 in the morning on Algonquin Boulevard near Pine street north.
Police say it's one of the busiest intersections in Timmins.
The police took the vehicle in for a forensic inspection and a safety check.
No word yet on whether any charges will be laid.
at the family's request, police have not released the name of the victim.
