An impaired driver in Timmins who tried to order fast food in a drive-thru recently is now facing charges.

The Timmins Police Service was tipped off in the early morning hours of May 10 by drive-thru staff.

“The staff at the restaurant made observations of the driver’s comportment and called in their suspicions to the Timmins police for investigation,” police said in a news release.

Officers tracked down the driver and gave them a roadside breath sample, which registered a fail.

A 47-year-old from Cochrane has been charged with impaired driving. She was released from custody and has a court date of May 23.
