A total of 68 parade floats wound there way through the downtown, to the delight of adults and kids alike who took in the sights and sounds.

The evening began at 5:15 with a spectacular fireworks display. The night also saw the debut of what the Sudbury Wolves are calling the biggest goal light in the world.

Sudbury's downtown water tower now lights up red whenever the team scores a goal during a home game.

The honourary chair of this year's event was CTV News Northern Ontario anchor Ian Campbell.
