“The vehicle was recovered, however, as of yet, the suspect has not been identified,” the North Bay Police Service said in a news release Friday.

On March 29 between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., police said a man gained access to several locations within a hotel on Lakeshore Drive – including the staff lounge and locker rooms.

“The suspect took a set of keys belonging to the victim, who was an employee there,” said police.

“Later that evening, the accused is observed on CCTV returning to the hotel at approximately 9:50 p.m.”

The suspect took a black 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage from the hotel parking lot and headed southbound on Lakeshore Drive.

On March 31, police located the vehicle at an address on Booth Road.

“The vehicle was examined by North Bay Police Service forensic investigators and the victim was notified,” said police.
