Rallies are planned across the country today including North Bay and Sudbury, against how Tim Hortons manages its frontline workers.

It started in Ontario, when some franchisees cut costs, to offset the province's minimum wage increase that took effect January 1st.

There have already been protests outside some locations, where owners cut back on paid breaks and benefits.

Now the message is being spread nationwide and about 50 demonstrations are planned Friday. They're organized by an advocacy group that lobbies for a $15 minimum wage.
