Jumping off a cliff or climbing a mountain - whatever is on your bucket list - the Algoma Residential Community Hospice wants you to do it.
"We're trying to inspire people to commemorate their Great Bucket List item by building a fundraising page an in return raising some dollars for the hospice," said Lee Rendell, Algoma Residential Community Hospice fund development manager.
"In return we will help them document the experience with videos and photos and help them really commemorate that experience and make it a really memorable one.”
ARCH got the idea after Tianna Rutland decided to complete one of her dreams; running the Las Vegas Marathon in honour of her late uncle.
"We had a wonderful experience here at the end of his life at Arch and I just wanted to give back because of our wonderful experience," she said.
In only a couple of weeks, Rutland was able to raise $4,000.
Even the staff at ARCH is participating; Theresa Mudge is planning to complete a particularly grueling race.
"I have a dream to run an ultra-marathon," said Mudge, ARCH executive director.
"An ultra-marathon is a running race that is greater than forty two point two kilometres. This challenge has inspired me to more than double that and I'm going to run my first 100 kilometre race in the southern Utah deserts."
Mudge's goal is raise $5,000 dollars for that race.
Hospice staff feels the uniqueness of the fundraiser is what will make it popular.
"This is a completely new concept," said Rendell.
"We have never seen this done ever before globally."
Rendell said she won’t be surprised if this fundraiser brings in more than $100,000 dollars. She adds that it has the ability to be the greatest fundraisers ARCH has ever done.
