No children were hurt, but an SUV driver sustained minor injuries in a crash with a school bus in the McCrea Heights area of Greater Sudbury on Wednesday morning.

The collision happened around 8 a.m. in the area of MR80 and Donaldson Crescent, Sudbury police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in an email.

Two youths were onboard the bus at the time, but they nor the bus driver were injured in the incident, Dunn said.

"We are relieved to report that there were no injuries sustained in the incident. The safety and well-being of our students remain our utmost priority, and we are grateful that everyone involved emerged unharmed," Renee Boucher, executive director of Sudbury Student Services Consortium, told CTV News in an email.

"We will continue to provide support and assistance to those affected as we work towards ensuring the continued safety of our transportation services."
