There are new developments on a story that shook the community of Sudbury to its core 25 years ago.

Two men, Peter Pennett and Clinton Suzack, were convicted of first degree murder, for killing constable Joe Macdonald, who was brutally beaten and shot to death.

They were handed life sentences with no chance of parole for 25 years.

Well that time is now up.

Documents from a recent parole hearing in Quebec now show day parole for Suzack was recently denied due to his continued violent tendencies..

The other convicted killer in the case, Peter Pennett, remains in custody at a minimum-security prison in Gravenhurst.
