SUDBURY -- class="p2" style="margin:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt"> At some point over the holidays, a six-foot decorative light was taken from the annual festive display that lights up a Sudbury area park.

Organizers and residents in Coniston are very unhappy, as they look forward to this each year.

"Personally, I was very disappointed and a little bit disheartened. There were a lot of comments from the whole community about how sad this was and how it’s hard to understand why somebody would take something like this," said Gary Comin, lead of the Christmas light display.

Comin says these lights range anywhere from $900 to $1,300 and adds it is not easy for one to steal.

"You would need a ladder and you'll probably need two people, more than likely, to be able to get out of the bracket and down from the pole. So, it’s not something that (someone) can just easily come by and grab and away you go." said Comin.

Those involved say they’re hoping someone will eventually return the light to the park.
