Commercial truck gets stuck at Sudbury job site

No injuries were reported Wednesday afternoon when a commercial truck got stuck at a construction site in Greater Sudbury.

The incident took place on Struthers Street near Griffith Street.

Videojournalist Ashley Bacon reports from the site that a large tow truck was called in and was working to extricate the truck.

A City of Greater Sudbury construction sign was present at the site. City spokesperson Sacha Novak confirmed in an email that no one was hurt.

"It was the contractor’s vactor truck that backed into the trench," Novak said. "The truck was towed out later in that day."

According to the city’s website, road and water/wastewater improvements have been taking place on Struthers Street since April, with a completion date in November.
