Catbury: Confident Sudbury cat looking for a home

Share

Alexandra Binns, of the Sudbury SPCA, says the staff at the shelter are surprised Catbury, a two-year-old female cat, has not been adopted after spending a few months at the facility.

She came in with a litter of very young kittens and the SPCA gave them all new names inspired by chocolate bars. The kittens have all been adopted, but she remains at the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre located at College Boreal.

Binns describes Catbury as super confident, food motivated and affectionate.

The active feline loves playtime and needs medium-high activity, she said, and could probably learn to do tricks.

Catbury has done well with children, but doesn't love to be picked up.

The shelter would do well as the only pet in a household as she doesn't currently love other cats or dogs.

Binns said she could possibly do well in a home with another cat if she had her own space.

Check back next week as we feature another Sudbury shelter pet.

Bortis, the dog featured in last week's Take Me Home Tuesday, has been transferred to Muskoka.

All of the other previously featured pets -- Sassy, Lucky, Def Lepperd and the Stranger Things kittens -- have been adopted.
